NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (A&M 732) Out of Los Angeles, this tune from 1964 recorded at Hollywood's legendary Gold Star Studio, is the fifth disc issued by Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass on the A&M label. In actuality the group was an ensemble of L.A.'s 'Wrecking Crew' featuring Herb Alpert on trumpet and the talents of drummer, Hal Blaine. This outing was unique in that it showcased an uncredited vocal performance by The Blossoms which at this time included Darlene Love, Edna Wright, Fanita James and Gracia Nitzsche.
'Mexican Drummer Man' was also recorded in 1964 by Australian girl group, The Poni Tails.
