In Vienna, David says goodbye to Brad Vernon as he & Jenny get ready to start a new life. This is the last time the characters of David & Jenny appear together on the show.

what was Brad Vernon's relationship to Samantha Vernon?? I was too young (born in '81) to see them on-screen and the Vernon family hasn't been mentioned in eons on the show

Brad and Samantha were brother and sister.

IIRC, she drowned in a pool. She was married to Asa's nephew, Rafe & was pregnant. Her embryo was transferred to Delilah. Delilah & Rafe married, Sammy was aged to about an 8 year old & the three of them eventually left town.

Brad was sort of the Roger Thorpe of OLTL but he was somewhat redeemed by this time. David, Jenny and Brad had been previously written off when D & J had to go into hiding. Brad gave David his identity and was also taking off for parts unknown. David slipped the opal into Brad's pocket to help give him a new start so the scene where Brad slips it back to David is sweet.

OLTL was the GREATEST in the 80's. I wish there was a Soap Opera network on cable like the Game Show Network that played all the old soap episodes of the 80's. Today's soaps are a train wreck. And the production quality is terrible.

Brynne Thayer was brilliant in OLTL. Her performances were so understated. She should have been running home with the Emmys.

I grew up watching OLTL in the '80s with my mom and older sister and liked Brad Vernon myself. I also liked Tina too--especially when Viki was Niki. Great times! :-)
