Today I was studying this piece, and I recorded one of my first tries. That triplet/quavers section is particularly tricky! Not precisely because of the rythm, but rather because of the different voices all coming to play. The middle section is one of the most fugue'ed fugal forms I've seen in a piece that is not a fugue (if that makes sense at all).

  • learn what the chords and their qualities are to better aid your memory

  • thanks for your comment. but i think my memory is fine, though. i don't need the sheet anymore. the trick of this piece lies in bringing out all the voices, balancing, dynamics and a sober use of rubato... but that takes weeks, even months to perfect.

  • too many mistakes! =S
