although the original film of (the cabinet of Dr Caligai) is uncomparable _ even for those who don't like silent cinema __ , but this remake of 2005 is a very unique experience , i totally loved it in everything.

@NickRiviera10 Thank you for replying , Actually Robert Wiene despite making one of the most memorable films in the history of silent cinema was never considered one of the greatest , that's because his other works are unmatched by any mean with his sole masterpiece (Das Cabinet der Dr Caligari) , that's why he is considered one of those "One trick ponies " directors.

Never heard of Dressler , Arbuckle or Nomand but thank you very much for pinting that out i'll check them out :)

this "remake" makes no sense at all... whoever wants to see that one instead of the original? if they would interpretate it somehow... but that's just a 1 to 1 copy of the movie. they even tried to copy the whole set-design! would anybody watch a 1 to 1 copy of 'star wars'? it is a question of originality. that one is just a waste of time... watch the original one from Robert Wiene! a truely classic!!!
