Nottingham Emmanuel Secondary School, who took part in our Young Leaders Project pilot at their sixth form last year, recently organised two great events to raise money and awareness for our work.

This video shows one of these events - Tanzania Day - which involved non-uniform, Tanzanian themed lessons (including Swahili, history and music), a special assembly and the 'Tanzanian Experience' where some year 7 and 8 pupils learnt in a more basic classroom to give them an idea of what it would be like to be a Tanzanian pupil for the day.

They also organised an African Nations Football Festival which involved seven primary schools whose students came in especially for both days despite having already finished their exams and lessons!

Congratulations to the students and staff at Nottingham Emmanuel, we look forward to working with you again in 2011-12!
