  • Good

  • You're right it looks like common rail fuel injection petrol

  • Definetly its a diesel engine you want to show again.

  • @lumberj23 Haha, you say us dumb youtubers, I happen to be a mechanic and this is no diesel engine. This is an petrol engine. Diesels do not need spark plugs, coil packs, HT leads, and I certainly don't know of any diesel engine that has a mechanical throttle valve. Also with diesel engines, the fuel is not injected into the intake ports, it is injected into a swirl chamber recessed into the cylinder head, or into a bowl in the crown of the piston.

  • @Jacksonkellyfreak the combustion chamber is in the piston itself. glow plugs are controlled by one relay, not individual coils. and if you believe titles, then i am the president of the united states. just sayin. obviously its not his vid. go look up a real diesel engine and then watch again. youll see. ive worked on diesels since i was 13, and im 27 now. thats no diesel

  • @Jacksonkellyfreak

    That could be glowplugs, too.

    4:03

And there is no need for the head to be flat. In fact, little space is needed that the diesel can mix with the air.

And main point: The title says it is a diesel engine. And I dont see how that cant be true.

  • @lumberj23 and also look at the head, the combustion chamber is in the head instead of the piston. if that were a diesel head the valves would have 0 angle to them. the dish would be bigger in that piston as well. diesels would never be able to run on a combustion chamber like that. the head has to be flat flat flat to keep comp ratio up. remkember, its a minimum of 17:1 in a diesel.

  • @lumberj23 also watch the animation at 4:03 that spark plug is clearly igniting the fuel, not injecting any. so its definitely a spark plug and not a diesel injector.

  • @lumberj23 2:20 injectors in the intake manifold, 2:25 spark plugs go into the top of the valve cover followed by coil packs on top

  • @Jacksonkellyfreak

Where do you see coil packs?
