New Personal Best in the Hang Snatch.
Bodyweight was 258lbs (117kg).

Definitely think this is the lifting exercise with the most correlation to throwing the discus far.

  • Massive power display! If you can keep the bar in closer to the body the bar'll pop up even faster and you'll be able to hit 160, 165 and above! Right now you've got a huge swing and are projecting the bar forward, which means it doesn't get as much height as it could, plus you're hopping forward to catch it. Feet stay in place, bar practically brushes the chest on the way up, and it'll be like magic!

  • fsuitw - youre probably the stupidest person to ever use a computer. Youre an idiot.

  • That's a Kuehl name.

  • @fsuitw it's a hang snatch......

  • dead hang snatch. nice

  • The Studio looks great!

  • ONLY if you train the lift from the floor. Most people can do more from the floor as the bar is already moving BUT the first pull for beginner is not correct. They put the bar in the wrong place = hard to setup a 2nd pull, this is why most non competitive OLifters can do more from the hang, they are more accurate with it from the hang as they practice it more. If the guy spent more time from the floor, sure, but he is a thrower and it is an 'assistance' to his throwing,

    very powerful!

  • don't U think its harder from the waist up? from the ground up should be alot easier.

  • Dummy its not 150 lbs, its a 150kg, thats 330 pounds

  • Are you saying he should start his snatch pull from the floor or deadlift the weight and then snatch from the hang?
