a class act! very underrated against all those other post-war british comedy performers, but just.as.good. she could play all the roles and support or star as well as the rest of them...

she also seems to have been a lovely lady, a bit hen-pecked by her mum and maybe too fond of the booze - but nowhere NEAR as horrible as some of her collegues could have been!

Joan Sims was one of the best comedy actresses Britain has ever produced. We were so lucky to have had her and she was so underated - we owe her a lot.
