Jackie was always one of my favorites since I saw him do "Reet Petite" on Dick Clark's Saturday Night show. It's too bad there is so little video left of Jackie performing live. He had a reputation for putting on a great show.

I first saw Jackie Wilson on American Bandstand when I was a teenager. At that time, my mother pronounced him to be one of the greatest performers she had seen. I have loved him ever since. What a voice. What passion. I was so sad when he died, tragically, way too soon.
