  • hahaha. they went straight to grappling.

  • @rimidalvetarak Yes, Grabbing was allowed to the head a year or so prior to this fight, but has largely been banned from knockdown fighting today.

  • If you look on the channel karatekyokushinuk and watch the video spectacular knockout you'll see da costa's timing. setting up his opponent with two back-kicks to the body and then going to the head. enforcing the comments about timing, gambling and good enough

  • The most powerful kicks you can do are back or spinning kicks, but timing is essential. As has been stated, its not wise to turn your back on your opponent but if they are good enough then its worth the gamble. unfortunately for Frank Williams, his timing was bad and da costas defence too good.

  • that kung fu guy was not well trained, because karate will never defeat kung fu, karate is shit

  • Kung fu guy fighting Kyokushin guy under kyukoshin rules = the kung fu guy just now forced to be a karate fighter

  • @mosheozeri123456789 wow a hebrew.

  • I was there (as a spectator) Nick da costa's techniques & timing were spot on!

but let's not forget that the wushukwan guy's were very tough opponents!

  • @karatekyokushinuk That's right. Generally I think that match with grappling and strikes allowed are more realistic to real combat which (hopefully) leads to better MA techniques as well as "all-roundedness".

  • קראטה הכי חזק

כי קונג פו כל הזמן מראים את הגב

ובקראטה הפנים תמיד קדימה אז רואים כל צעד

קראטה זה שבירות קונג פו זה יפה רק לסרטים

  • don waste your time with fancy movie flying and spinning kicks...you will get hurt. Mae Geri straight into the diaphragm.....out for seconds! Even Mawashi geri is best for competition but the lack of power in a badly executd one will result in pain to the attempting party.

  • that kung fu guy is shit, If a Sanshou guy was fighting him, he would be knocked out within 30 seconds
