I'm going there on Saturday.

I was wondering if you could help me out. Im not sure where you are from but Im from Canada so would I just take Canadian dollars? How about for the departure tax, does it need to be in cash or would visa/mastercard work?

Hi aliasaddiction, Canadian dollars work best, you can change them at the airport bank, or the resort depending on where you go, and the departure tax must be in Cuban Convertibles only, they are very sticky on this. Have a great time, Dan

Take lots of sunscreen, if you like to snorkel, SLM's sits on a great spot! Bring your own mask & snorkel, We have never had any problems regarding your last comment, everyone is there for a great time! We have met people from all around the world here, if you you read the previous post we met 9 wild people from Moscow! It's our favourite palce to vacation, we are returning in 6 weeks for our 5th time! Can't wait! Hope this helps, Dan

haha, we went there december 2008 too, it was amazing! ... the french canadians are very loud and sometimes annoying but the cuban workers dislike them, and they spend more time and give more attention to the english holidaymakers.

oh yeah )))) so good))) santiago ,and more places i dont remember cities ,but we have so much fun there with friends .;) ,we dont have much time too go to Havana next time
