This is a test of my new Samsung VP-MX20 camcorder at brighton, also using a Gorillapod SLR.

  • Yes it records in 16:9 and 4:3 but beware it is a little confusing, it records both 16:9 and 4:3 to the same frame size (720x576) which means that the files it makes all appear to be 4:3 which is fine if you are going to watch it back on a widescreen tv (because that will stretch it back to 16:9) or you are going to edit it somehow on your computer, but if you are just going to watch the files on your computer or upload them to youtube etc just make sure you record in 4:3.

  • Does it record in widescreen (16:9)? Just wondering yes I know it's old but might be getting 2nd hand one for the kids

  • i bought this one yesterday and i haven't had the chance to record yet becuz it has to charge 12 first.

    i'm really exited

  • YH YOUR CORRECT i'm buyin one for £119 tomorrow

  • I'm still very impressed with the mx20.

For AUD $300 (approx 120 quid) its pretty damn good.
