  • Further proof that Robert Downey Jr. is NOT Sherlock Holmes.

  • I like the way Watson is taking care of the woman when she faints. It's neccessary now and then to remind people of the fact that he actually is a doctor with some competence of his own.

  • I love how Holmes just sits there. Brett is the best holmes not just in how he plays him but in his physical apearence as well.

  • "You conduct has been infamous!" Great line.

  • @bronteteri Actually he is ill. Watson and Holmes speak clearly about his condition in the beginning of the episode while they're riding to the Musgrave residence in carriage.

  • RDJ never will compare to this man. I hate it when I look up Sherlock Holmes and the piece of shit movie that RDJ played in as a guy named Sherlock Holmes pops up.

Jeremy Brett forever. I respect RDJ's acting skills but he can never amount to how Sherlock Holmes was supposed to be according to the books (since Jeremy Brett carried around a copy of the stories and made sure it was true to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's image). I do blame the writers and the director more for that atrocity though.

  • OMG did you SEE that house??!! You could make a theme park out of it!

  • Dr Watson is also the "every man", representing the views of his times, ... to show Contrast with Sherlock. He is highly respectable, poor Mr. Holmes, is frequently stuck all alone while his partner is sleuth is spending time with his wife and kids. Sort of reminds me of Master Samwise (Sam)from the Lord of the Rings; folk tend to forget that the sidekick is a family man.

  • @MrsSherlcokHolmes A lot of women fainted back then for several reasons. 1.The weaker they seemed to men, the more men would take care of them and sometimes they just liked to be touched by a man. It wasn't accepted otherwise. The waltz was consider scandelous when it first came out because a man had to put his arm around a woman. 2. A lot wore corcets(sp) as having a small waist was considered pretty so they tied them too tight and cut off air. So the more excited they got the more they faited.

  • "The girl is fainting, Watson"

  • I love this Dr.Watson the best...he is so personable and so kind to everyone... and very much a good friend to Sherlock.

  • @Kaydenthedude in the first episode his needle and cocaine were laying on the table in his room when Dr.Watson went in to get him.... Dr.W saw the stuff laying out and left the room.... Sherlock is not ill, but stoned.
