"Pedestrian" trailer (fan-made)

Okay, so I made this for SouthernGothicNews's Pedstrian Contest (details on their channel, which you need to check out!), and basically the requirement was just to make a trailer for their new movie, Pedestrian, which of course hasn't been made yet. lol. Talk about a challenge. Austin Nichols is definitely playing Lincoln Booth, but an actress has not been chosen for Mona yet. I chose to go with Bethany Joy because first of all, I think she's great and would be amazing in the role, and second of all, I have all the One Tree Hill episodes. lol. I hope you can handle all the voiceovers since most of them totally don't match with their lips, but hey - this was really hard to do! :)

For those of you who don't know, Southern Gothic Productions is Hilarie Burton's new production company that she is running with Kelly Tenney and Nicholas Gray, who wrote the script for Pedestrian. Pedestrian will be their first film, and I'm very excited for them, especially since it currently seems that Hilarie will not be back for OTH next season. (I know nothing is officially confirmed yet, but her Vlog sounded pretty convincing.) So I want to support her new project, and here's my trailer! Let me know what you think; this is my first attempt at something like this! :)

Synopsis of "Pedestrian" (from SouthernGothicNews - http://www.youtube.com/user/SouthernGothicNews):

Lincoln Booth is a successful rags-to-riches photographer.
He has the vision of a truly gifted artist.
He is young and handsome.
He is good with women.
He has a lump.

Confronted with mortality, and the realization that his world in New York is far from supportive, Lincoln decides to return home to North Carolina so he can reconcile a life he left at 15 years old.

But does he really have the nerve to go back?

Lincoln finds courage, and even better, a beautiful distraction, in the form of Mona Mills; a designer-label, Pedicab driving, human antidepressant. Mona, the embodiment of his over-active imagination, is in turn drawn to the mystery of Lincoln, and the challenge of cracking his self imposed isolation.

After a few chance encounters, and an undeniable spark, Lincoln invites Mona on a road trip to North Carolina; an invitation she readily accepts, although naïve to the excursions real motivation.

Their journey down the east coast is punctuated with colorful characters, shared vulnerability, and the hope of new possibilities. That is, until the true purpose of the trip surfaces.

Feeling used and discouraged, Mona heads back to New York, forcing Lincoln to face his weaknesses alone, and remedy the choices hes made; past and present.

Can he reestablish the family ties that were severed years ago?

Will he find a way to get Mona back?

Most importantly, does Lincoln have the strength to let down his guard and overcome his fears of love and reliance?

Touching and relevant, PEDESTRIAN reminds us that we all have what it takes to be more than just a nameless face in the crowd.

I tried really hard to capture the essence of the film, but they're being pretty mysterious about further details, so I did what I could!

Clips come from pretty much everything: One Tree Hill for all of Bethany's scenes, and tons of Austin's work: Glory Road, Wimbledon, One Tree Hill, John from Cincinnati, The Day After Tomorrow, some interviews... I guess that's everything I used. He needs to kiss more girls in his projects, cause it sure caused problems for me, lol. :)

Really good! it looks like a good movie too. I hvent herd of it but i got the general gist of what it wuld be about. I love bathany joy galleotti too. she has her own website now with a podcast and fanmail whch she sometimes replies to... lol x (bjgofficial) this was really creative with what clis you had!:)
