PLEASE READ: Many sources (such as those in the description area) indicate that participants in this festival are Buddhists and Taoists. The many comments emphatically denying this hold no weight if not backed by positive evidence to the contrary.

  • @SecularAstronomer that doesnt relate to buddhis... buddhis people were peacefull people. buddhism want avoid pain to have a peaceful life. so this title is bullsh'it!

  • It is sad that people still are able to know what is Buddhist (佛教) and Tao(道教)。They mix up Buddhist and Taoist together. Buddhist talks about inner peace and enlightenment to develop precept, meditation and finally wisdom, and even lead to the ultimate path of nibanna (to be free from reclamation (轮回)。 This video content is totally NOT of a Buddhist's way practicing!!!

  • Respond to this video...

[continued, part 2] A country can two choices - spend the money now or save it for the future. A father who loves his children will put aside money in the form of savings in the bank (= sacrifice) so that they will have a better, brighter future. The father can easily use the money on himself, indulging in all sorts of pleasures.(= no savings, = no sacrifice). See?

    [part 1]

Think again - you've never heard of the crucifixion in Christianity - that's piercing all right and for what purpose? One is made a scapegoat on behalf of others which is sacrifice, without which the community cannot grow, progress or prosper. You can find this principle in any economy - the heart or secret of a nation's wealth, well being lies in just how much 'saving' a country is willing to put aside, which means this - sacrifice.
