Whether you're painting a picture of a barn, or playing a game of Chess, or learning music, to play an instrument, or write....
the path to improvement is always the same.
Repetition.
To that, I add only, don't be afraid to explore avenues that occur to you intuitively.
Take a chance.

  • @LuxusOhr I think I may have been so prepared for the show last week end that I forgot the "heart" part of the painting.

Even though I already sold it, I didn't win any prize at all, and, it didn't really sing to me.

I think I will find a place nearby here that looks similar and try again.

Trying is better than letting it scare me off.

  • Great video! I very much believe in the idea of returning to mistakes, and even more, being willing to take risks and try new things. Put your work and your heart in!

  • @christian01127 thanx for that, Christian.

Yesterday I went to TC Steele Paint Out....and lost.

But, I liked my work...got a couple few good pastels out of it doing that draw in pastels, first technique.

  • I agree with you, the secret is work, work and work....Great video my friend!!!
