Thanks ToniHickman... Here's yet another Twistout (for the 3rd day in a row), but this time I took your advice and tried the "Flat Twist" twistout on dry hair. I still used the "Twist while Twisting" technique that I learned from AKAKristin.

There's not much difference in the 2 Twistouts (2 strand & flat). Both do a pretty good job stretching out the hair.

  • I watched your video recently for 2010 with the bc clip at the end. My second time around to the natural world. I originally went back to perming cause of the dry, brittle breakage I thought I was getting away from by going natural. Loved the really tight curls, how'd you get them and the moisture. Help a sista whos returning to her roots.

  • Just so I can respond correctly, what is your specific question?

  • is glycerin an oil i could seal with?

  • Glycerin is not an oil. It is a humectant which attracts moisture.

  • ooooh, (makes sense). well thanks for letting me know. i guess im gonna try some olive oil. does it matter if its extra virgin or not?

  • I personally like the Extra Virgin Olive Oil since it's in its most purest form.

  • Nay, that's Dave Hollister

  • who is this singing? is it ruben studdard? if so which cd?

  • In my opinion, I think the twistout comes out more defined when using the "Twist While Twisting" method.

  • I'm sorry I'm just responding 2 ur comment bout my twistout, but didn't c it til now. I have a product that I sell called Ashea shea butter pomade. This is the product I now use when I do my twists / twistout. I achieve a fabulously elongated, defined, shiny soft twistout. I'm actually just starting up my natural hair beauty supply store & I do retail the pomade for $9 if interested. I'll send u my Ashea product review video so u can see how my twists/twistout turned out after using the product.
