Robert Zoellick said that in Bangladesh, staples such as rice can cost almost half of a poor family's daily income.

  • 0:04 he said Glowing global.... And he didn't correct it..

  • Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

  • @penitent2401 thank you very much, so this is not a bangladesh or developing country factor. u see under many growth theories,a country develops , appart from population growth, from growth of technology, now this technology transfer super fast in developing countries, therefore very uneven, therefore uneven wealth distribution, or lets put it simply, some people are just not smart enough, there is nothing we can do to stop.

  • @skillcentre they are fully capable of feeding every one of their people now, their government and businesses are busy with openning up more buildings and international trades while not looking enough to their own countryside where some people are still living in poverty and not given the opportunity to get out of it.

new orleans still hasn't recovered fully since that hurricane btw

  • @penitent2401 first of all my point was not about poor pple, i was saying good things r not mentioned. anyways, rich pple getting richer is true for all capitalist economies, USA has higher inequality measure than Canada, France UK, Australia, even BD in case you dont know. Poor pple dont get poor, they get relatively poor, coz starvation is a history in Bangladesh, which prevailed in the 80s. Now more pple go to school, and v few , except during monga, and floods die in hunger

  • @skillcentre often the case in developing countries is the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer. the rich controls those exports, build the industries and bring in more money for themselves. they exports their production because they can get better prices in other countries, leaving the poor to feed off whatever they could grow or find on their own with little access to most of the country's wealth, resources and international markets.

  • these stupid international news channels has always something bad to say about BD. what about teh 25+ average growth in export? What about the billions of dollars rise in remittance, growth of industries and infrastructure? They are making a possible largest int airport at the suburbs of Dhaka.Skyscrapers booming in Dhaka as fast as Mumbai, where are those reports?

  • @eastariel u are very naive. You should be a little more analytical and in-depth.meat consumtion is not the problem, in case u dont know, pure meat is protein and minerals, without the fat. its the fatty junk food that has made americans unhealthy, so dont blame it on meat, Chinese japanese are meat-eaters as well. No offence, but i think American girls are way hotter than Indian girls in general, (comparing their figures, not colour or anything).

  • @Ben22obould

The world is not over-populated. That's just a lie propagated by hogs who want to eat up everyone else's rations.

The Earth is able to sustain far more people than it feeds already.

Have you ever read "Diet for a Small Planet"? Meat production is wasteful. Did you know that overconsumption of meat is the main reason that American health is so generally bad and that our health maintenance organizations are basically bankrupting our nation?

Who can afford not to stay healthy anymore?

  • @eastariel clearly you know nothing over population is the main reason for food shortages and look at the popluations of the areas where these food shortages are
