A little video I put together showing the 5 months it took to build my scooter. Good fun to do, but wouldn't do it again in a hurry!

  • hi - nice job, -did you do the paint job yourself or what,, - just wondering if aerosols would do a decent job - & how much, roughly, is the cost of getting all the panels etc sandblasted. Cheers

  • @ShenegarTrott

Hi, yes I sprayed it myself using aerosols, you just have to take it slow and put on lots of thin coats so it doesn't run and then plenty of lacquer. I was working on a budget but if I had the money I would have had a proper job done although it turned out OK. After being sand blasted the metal is really porous and it did take a lot of tins of primer and paint to cover it, I think the blasting cost around £120, try and get someone who knows what they are doing. All the best.

  • another lammy on the road... well done!!

Thanks, I haven't quite reached the standard or numbers of your collection, but I hope to do another, thanks.

  • Yup cool! :-)

  • Someone near me has one of these is WAY worse condition, that he found in the trash, he wants $350 US for it. I think he's insane. I took apart my Honda Rebel completely and restored it in the same way. How safe are these to drive, I've seen people skid and fall off them? Also whats your top speed and mpg, and where are you finding your parts, on ebay?

  • Great job mate. I have a Lamby 150 that i recently restored.

  • Hi, great job m8, had all my stuff blasted and etch primed for £100. (bargain) Then the fun stuff, filling rubbing down, flatting etc. Paint really makes the scoot and a poor job will show and really p*ss you off. Get what you can afford and ask your mates for recommendations. £450 should get you a good job done.

  • Not bad. Shame about the GP rear light though.
