@TemhairGoddess They were created not to survive the wild life, but to help humans study cancer developing within their bodies.

@sonicbehemoth They changed a gene which causes the mouse to produce a substance which glows. Just because it's something that has to do with genes doesn't mean you can cure cancer with that.

@pabloenis why poor mouse? it cant get cancer. and this mouse can save the lives of thousands of other mice and humans. this mouse is a hero

@bennia555 i agree, they should raise minimum wage. i heard that 30% of lab mice have 2nd mortgages on there wooden cheese shaped homes.
-
its pretty dam cool
-
Where can I get one?????
-
@pcred566 Haha I could imagine that now... But what do we have to be qualified to have damn glowing pets is it like: Warning extremely cool please don't sell.
-
@UltraDrago2000 Red has one of the lowest glow indexes of the entire color spectrum. Green and blue are going to work much better. Besides, you wouldn't be able to purchase one just THAT easily. It's not like you can just go into a Petco and say, "Yeah, so, you guys have any glowing dogs for sale around here?"

there legit they are called neonmice look em up idk how much but they kinda creep me out I might get one tho
-
Oneday we shall have glow in the dark fish or animals that dont require lights, and i shall have one of each just to be cool.

it looks to me like your just shining a green torch/flashlight on him.

@themegaspud Not exactly, but you are correct about torch/flashlight. Under a special light this mouse glows bright green. This is the study of how stem cells binds to a different cells in a body. Marc Zimmer's research group has linked a gene, that makes jellyfish glow green under blue fluorescent light, to a protein found in mice.
