I am an Australian and found Zinn one of the clearest thinkers on the modern gold rule "we cant do war anymore" if we are to survive.
I want to say god bless him but i am an atheist

@RiverBlanket Abso-f^*&ing-lutely, completely-f*&^ing right! I have been wondering that for the past 9 months! I just keep thinking to myself: "So... corporations are people. They are not getting the right to free speech... And money is the way they speak?" I wish corporations would speak to me.

Too few people see this kind of interview with this much truth. I wish the extremist tea-partiers enjoyed the truth as much as they worship Fox Noise. If that would happen, then progress could be made.

I was part of the leadership of the anti-war movement (SMC) at the University of Texas 1969-71. I was definately aware of Chomsky but didn't know about Zinn. Great man. At 62, I'm finally reading his books. Today is 9-11-2010. I thought we had learned our lesson in Vietnam. I never thought that the American public would be hoodwinked into another illegal war and elect someone as stupid as Bush. The Dems have blown it. I gave $500 to Obama. I'm back to being a democratic socialist.

Great man and great video!

I wish Amy had asked Howard about one of his books not mentioned "SNCC the new abolitionists"--folks who want to know about this heroic organization should read it! God Bless you Howard.

@Taharah007 ...yes, why don't we?
-
@vivascargill Thanks for pointing this out to me. Excellent.
Mark Twain - Vice-President of the "Anti-imperialist league". Brilliant worth that alone @ 26.48
Not to mention -
Helen Keller - Socialist organiser, Bob Moses - heroes of the civil rights movement... wonderful.

A wonderful humanitarian and AMERICAN! (Why can't we have LEADERS like him?)

1st It's not America, it's United States.
2nd He didn't hate USA, just the US government and its cruel political-economical system. He wanted the best for America.
