Have the Seekers appeared in different eras of history to present their music to the world? This shocking playbill from 1792 implies they have. Are Judith Durham & Co. time travelers?

  • When was this done - 90's?

  • It's from a concert in 2000, I believe.

  • Is this to the tune of She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain? The Seekers certainly have a good sense of humour.

  • I don't know too much about this song but it does seem to use that melody. It seems to be a traditional song covered by a lot of artists. Apparently when someone performs it they feel free to add in some of their own verses, usually bawdy!

  • Extraordinary, commendable work from someone who definitely knows their Seekers stuff! Very impressive and hilarious.

  • It was done sometime in the 60's... good song... as all the Seeker's songs are good... no great....

  • Thanks!

  • Rather like Tommy Makem's "The Liar".

  • Indeed and I agree. That's very clever, impressive and funny! Love it.

  • Thanks for the info! According to info I found it was recorded as early as 1913, and seems to be traditional as you say. It's also called "The Bragging Song", even Elvis recorded this.
