Hello all peoplez watchin' this! It's an update for Upon Thy Wings, since I haven't really said much about it recently. I figured it was time to show people some stuff I have and to ask a couple questions in the meantime. I'll discuss each topic of the video, and some topics left out of the video, in more detail bellow. As boring as it sounds, I would highly recommend reading it.
Most characters look the same in design, or just slightly difference (for example, Ryuu's eyes in the original video were blue, where as they are amber now). I just needed to draw them with a tablet and in my current style of art. I figured that you'd be interested in seeing what I've spend a bit of time doing aswell.
These will be the ONLY main characters in Upon Thy Wings, and most of the minor characters. More may be added later. I've decided to add the parents of my "Guardian" group (Akiko, Yukina, Megumi, Ken, Pierre, Shigure), minions of Hiroto, and a few other characters who fit into the story. Most aren't big characters, but they're really really important, particularly Kai and Tsubasa.
The opening and ending songs for Upon Thy Wings were choosen for two very simple reasons: I like them and the lyrics fit the series. The opening is a little more cheerful and happy, while the ending is a little more serious, creating a balance. Nope, nothing deep and emotional.
Yes, I have alot of programs to animate with. All of these are fully accessible, and they all work perfectly. Having a wide range of programs to work with helps in the way of having diversity. If one of my program combos aren't working for what I want, I can try another. Simple. And I have all kinds of tools that can give me the look I want. I can use my mouse for perfecting something, my tablet for clean but artistic animation, or I can use my scanner to upload a fram I drew. Chances are, I'm also getting a few more programs at one point or another.
I'm having a serious roadblock as to wether or not I should animate traditionally, as in with a pen and paper, or just do it all on the computer. I would love to do whatever would look best, be done quicker, and be easiest, but my priority is to put forth my best animation. I'm not doing an animated series to please anyone else, I'm doing it for fun, experience, and artistic freedom. So, I need to pick a style to express my best animation with.
I'm really trying to decide what format I should put my episodes in. Episodes less that 10 minutes long would come out faster, but be a little broken up in plot and take longer for characters to come into the picture. Longer episodes would take a heck of a lot longer to come out, but alot could happen in the animation and it would look "professional". Anyone got an opinion?
Upon Thy Wings will probably use scores from other movies, shows, or albums - with proper credit, or course - but I've been wondering if I should find someone to write a score, or get a program that would allow me to write a score myself. I'd rather not have to deal with copyright issues over music, and I'd like Upon Thy Wings to have a unique sound, but I have to factor everything else on my plate into the picture.
I've been considering recently if people would be willing to help me color, shade, or even do transition frames for Upon Thy Wings, or if I should force myself to do it and gain even more experience. Before I decide what I should do, I want to know if anyone is interested in helping?

@togietogie Well, this show consists of mostly boy characters and the nearest open female character (Hanako) doesn't appear until episode 2. Beyond that, there is Tsukiko and Mei who won't appear until atleast episode 3, but probably 4, and Misu who will be needed primarily in flashbacks that appear in random episodes. There are plenty of male characters who could easily be played by girls though, so perhaps take a look at them. All other casting information is in the description.

I can help you with the background music, ambient sounds and sound effects if you'd like.
I know animating is a huge load of a job, but I was just wondering, when do the voice actors get their lines? :)

@butterflyidentity That would be an ENORMOUS help!
I wanted to finish casting the first episode characters (Hook, Ryuu, Bones) and then send out lines, but I can give them to you know if you want to get them done.
