I love this song. It's sad, because Sara Bareilles said this was about her first bad heartbreak:( .

I knew someone that passed away about 4 years ago now, who was severely depressed and committed suicide. She had a drug & alcohol addiction and tried to get better;tried to get some help. I feel that all she really needed was love- she was crying out for love. In the end, i guess it was all too much and sadly this was her only way out. I seem to still think about her from time to time and wonder what she would have been doing today. Whenever i hear this song, i think of her♥
