PIERS: DON'T INTERRUPT THE DALAI LAMA IN MID SENTENCE.

"The Dalai Lama" was speaking about our planet belonging to the whole of humanity, and then Piers steers the conversation towards politicians, narrowing the viewer's line of thinking to mere party politics.
What was DL's point? We don't know because the clip ends and cuts off his entire response.
Maybe... The land belongs to those currently living upon it. Distant rulers have no right to say how others should live.

真心新聞網 or Ture Heart News 2.

I guess in the end it was dangerous for him to stay. Maybe the Chinese would have locked him up. He is considered an embodiment of the Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion. Its not the same as a god. In Buddhism, gods are not enlightened.
Anyway, there is no point in us arguing back and forth endlessly. I wish China good fortune and development and hope there is religious freedom in Tibet so the people can practice their religion in peace, unlike during the cultural revolution.

dalai lama had a iron grip over 98% of the population, and the 2% aristocrats consolidated his power. the question is NOT whether he has total control over tibet, the FACT is he fled with a band of aristocrats and landowners to india, if he disagreed with their oppression over tibetan peasants then why didnt he stayed like 10th pahchen lama?? he fled with the aristocrats and landowers' clique because they wer on the same boat.

dalai lama was considered a living god no matter what you say, the tibetan people has been brainwashed to believe for centuries that their misfortune in slavery and serfdom is caused by misdeeds in previous lives, so the immortal spirit of dalai lama must be a god because he keeps comming back and rule over every soul in tibet eternally. if you are a slave or serf(which consisted most of pre-1950 tibetan society) then he he must be a living god.

dalai lama was NOT the highest spiritual or political leader in tibet the power is shared with Panchen lama, because dalai lama reside in tibet proper so he had gained more political clout over the aristocrats than panchen lama and over time tibetan people followed dalai lama's sect over panchen lama's. the 10th Panchen lama is much more virtuous man than the current dalai lama who fled with his fortunes and clique of aristocrats,

dont argue with me about what communism did to China, i know because my grand parents lived through the great leap forward. yes i was a disaster but NOT because of the land reforms its caused by Mao's idiotic economic policy of surpassing Britain in industrial output. and during the Lushan conference Mao lost his power because of it. but he later regained it by launching the cultural revolution/. so did the communist policies benefited the peasants YES, but it was Mao's fault for the disasters
