Well, recently I sold them. I used with them the american Decware CSP2 which is an OTL singled ended triode tube preamp. Also great was the german SPL Phonitor combination.
I heard Woo Audio 6 is a good pair too and also the british Icon Audio HP8 MKII, very recommended the last one.

How HD600 compares to HD595? I have 595 and maybe buy HD600 in future.

However, they don't fatigue and you can listen to them forever unlike cheaper/lower quality headphones due to the always surprising sound they give you.
Well, keep me posted in the near future.
Later.
Hey, Parrots1, nice to see you are into full size headphones. I told you I own the HD800's, remember? I also have got the HD600's and the HD650's. I have to tell you that between these too is not really a noticeable difference in terms of sound quality. The HD650's sound darker, more fuller and musical but the upper midrange on up lack of detail and high frequencies you get from the HD 600. What these means is that the HD600 are one of the most neutral cans out there, very honest sound.

Really? Mmmm... you said full-size open headphones were a waste for you. Anyway, that's great. I hope you tried to listen to them before purchasing and liked them. They are not good for bad recordings and with fast rhythm. The decay is not as fast and they like moderate-slow pace of the music. Therefore, classical and Jazz are wonderful genres for them. That said, they are top tier headphones in terms of soundstage, focusing, imaging and depth. (continues on part 2) >>>

@JADJuanan full size headphones are still a waste for me because i would hardly use it and i hardly ever listed to music at home, the only reason i bought the HD800 is so i can have a good listen to them and try them out properly and see for myself what all the hype over these is about, i was at the recent london meet for which i will put up the video i recorded when i get a chance and there were a few HD800's there playing on differedt high end rigs but no most people did not seem to like them
