Heard this song for the first time today, fell in love with it immediately!
Hendrix just keeps on suprising me; I've only decided to explore hendrix about 6 months ago and I've already bought like 6 CD's and 3 video's of some of his concerts. And the past 6 months my ears haven't heard anything that hasn't to do with hendrix. :P
You said you liked this version more than rainbow bridge's; do you know around which time he plays it during the concert?

Hey..that is great. I love this version and I suppose if it had been worked up more it would have been released on the original "Electric Ladyland". I think the four part solo is particularly good for Jimi, concise but electrifying. The later version released on Rainbow Bridge is great, but in my mind pails in comparison to this moody, dark version. Cheers, Anthony.

I just bought West coast Seattle Boy this version is unreal. He more than any other great... could go to the edge and remain in total control, thats why.. for me at least the best of all time. I know that covers many, but Jimi did things with sound in general that we can at best only sit back and admire and just listen. Thanks for the video. JH

Only Hendrix could take something incredible and turn it into something even more incredible, from the first second itself I fell in love with this, he was just, magic

I just love the way the guitar solo explodes but it restrained and sort of broken into four different pieces. Talent!
