  • Why did it capsize? Mainsheet cleated?

  • Hello msf,

It was a long time ago...I really don't remenber the detais. I just remenber I was sailing along and then...I was in the water!

    Thanks for the comment.

  • mate, just to let you know that you are sailing that boat like a rear main. its a centre main and therefore you should adapt your grip on the tiller extension. it needs to be held in a 'dagger' position as opposed to a 'frying pan' grip.

It'll feel very wrong for a long time but eventually you'll sail much better and look like you know what you're doing. e mail me if you want any mmore advise.

  • Thanks WC81! I had noticed that watching the last Olimpics.

Will start my adaptation next time I'm on the water...

    Thanks again,

    Tunico

  • erm not to sure if he actually did capsize then... looked more like he dropped the camera, he wasn't very wet and i guess he would have at least got his hat wet if he had gone in. meh-cool boat though, there's better vids of it on here that show it better.

  • Man, belive me. I did capsize on this video. Nothing terrible...just swam around and climbed the centerboard, that's why my hat was not (very) wet.

As I write this I'm on a holyday and in 3 days put in a solid 8 hours of Vago sailing. Nothing to complain about...

  • worst sailing ever-.-

  • Esse é o problema nos esportes a vela no brasil, o custo é muito alto e vc só pode aproveitar quando já esta velho de mais para curtiri... ou nascer em familia rica heheheh

  • You capsized in less than ten knots of wind?

    EPIC FAIL

  • .... i kinda did it 10 times the day i sailed in it..

  • why don't you guys have that jib up for a while??

  • I tried a Vago today and I really appreciated it. Very unstable, but reacts to all changes of weight. A bit too slow upwind, incredibly fast downwind with gennaker pumping in front of it. Hope I will learn as soon as I can to sail it properly ;)

  • those look like great conditions!
