that xbox example isn't all about the social pressure to have a gaming system, particularly one that is so popular. that toy is going to mean so much more to her children that they will always treasure it, even when no one else is playing it. the woman had the opportunity to get something special that all her children can use. there is a plenty of meaning in that gift, stop using the obvious to demean something that is special.
