Very interesting....not sure what sort of function it has, given that it's 24 strings tuned to the same note. Also, isn't a monochord an instrument with only one (mono) string?

@vlnvlaclogbaerhpno The name is correct ! at-least as it has become the name for this type of instrument over the years (the mono refers to the fact that they are all tuned to the same note, same, one, mono ! ). The 24 strings played together build a sound-scape of overtones, you would hear this if you heard it live ! And the instrument is alive, they will spontaneously "sing" when a harmonising sound triggers the overtone's (a voice for instance).
