Now a days it`s not a big deal anymore. I have the BIGGEST crush on this African American news anchor girl here in Chicago. She is drop dead beautiful! BTW I`m Mexican, but I hate when African American`s our decribed as "blacks" and caucasian`s are described as "white". let`s leave the past, in the past. My fiance is Mexican American and he is the one who pushed me to go natural. I had the same response, "You don't understand. You don't have my hair you ass!" I have been natural for about a year now and my fiance certainly loves it. I think he feels that it's safe to touch my hair now without me freaking out.

I don't mean to pick at this...but you never referred to his race...you referred to his ethnicity. By saying 'He's Brazilian...I'm black," it's like saying that all Brazilians look like him, and we all know that Brazil has the largest population of black people outside of Africa in the world.
