@theseblackties I agree with ericjt1234,I would add that for a proper curl and to stand away from the face one should shave level with the bottom of the mouth.In essence the surface area of the face from which the moustache grows is relatively small and it is the moustache that is long.

After watching this video I went out and bought some of this glue and all I have to say is WOW!!! It really does work. My mustache is so hard to style in a nice curl. This stuff is AMAZING I wont be going back to using Clubman wax again because it never held. Thank you for this awesome tip!

Trying to find a video on trimming. I'm growing the same style mustache and have been trimming below my lip but I'm not sure if I should keep doing it or just let it all go.

@theseblackties - If you want your moustache to appear bulky like mine does then do not trim the body of the moustache at all. If you do trim there it might affect the transition to the curl part. Usually it will be down at an angle and if you trim that point where you don't trim will be an abrupt change. Some guys trim to keep the hair out of their mouths or because it tickles. Honestly, after a few months I didn't even notice the hairs touching my lips. Let it grow out to see what it will do.
