i see the polls on 16 january,show 61 per cent against independence

@broadband01 Maybe you should check the most recent poll where 44% are for and 45% are against. The point is, polls change all the time and don't show the view of the whole nation. There is only one poll that counts and that will be held in 2014!

@glasgow1234 holding a referendum in 2014 to mark a historic anniversary, is oppertunist politics mr salmond is playing, why not hold the referendum in 2013..cause hes scared of losing that one...the scots will soon see salmond is using independence to increase his power and his pay packet

@Alastairbell You don't have any credibility nor do you illustrate any knowledge on what you call the 'Irish struggles'. In any case, to compare independence movements in different countries is a folly. I won't be engaging with you any further. With all due respect, I don't suffer fools gladly. I don't like to waste my precious time. The saddest part is, you want independence for you own nation but show disrespect for Wales, England & Ireland. Talk about how to get people to hate you.
