The diesel smell+fresh cut fields has fellas in a daze
Tractors tearing narrow roads with trailers of grass
And impatient drivers stuck behind them with no room to pass

It's the 3 weeks in June where the panic and rush
Of Silage mania to some it is a curse
My girlfriends had enough she thinks I'm insane
She hasn't seen me in days and she's praying for some rain

By Jaysus you can't baet (beat) it when the silage season comes around, 5 in the morning to 1 in the morning 3 hours sleep and living on rolls out of Centra and Topaz, and regular trips back to the compound for diesel, are you a contractor/driver yourself?
