Bought the game 3/9/08
Started a new file on 6/1/08
Got this message 12/20/08

Whereas in Melee..

Bought the game sometime in 2002.
Obtained 4,999 matches in 2007.

It took me 5 years to get 4999 matches in Melee, but 6 months to get 4999 in brawl. Going by this logic, Brawl is better than Melee. I win. :)

Also, enjoy the song lol

  • @iluvswaffles Gake? Is that a new troll word?

  • why did you feel the need for kirby 64 music to add to this

  • @AlxGoes true but isnt just a player opinion ? i have all three too but if i had to be biaste melee takes the cake for victry

  • I got a message saying I played 100,000 matches XD

  • @Izayoiaki24 Since it's Super Smash Bros., it will always be one of the most successful in every era. I do loved SSBM, but compared with SSB and SSBB it wasn't well made. It's true that Luigi was a copy of Mario at the N64 version, but he was the only one (and you couldn't expect too much on the 1st attempt). However, SSBM, as I said, has Pichu-Pikachu, C.Falcon-Ganondorf, Mario-Dr.Mario, and Marth-Roy, Fox-falco, Link-Y.Link, who are exactly the same thing in other character.

  • @AlxGoes I thought it was one of the most successful and beloved games of its era and spawned an entire mini-genre and a tournament scene that continues to this day. But I guess it sucked, because it had characters with similar movesets. I was also under the impression that Luigi was a total clone in SSB and substantially evolved in SSBM, but I suppose that was also a mistake.

  • @Billitrance Huh? The real guy behind Smash Bros (N64 version) was fired (or he left on his own, I don't remember) and then they made SSBM for GameCube. Now he's back, and they made SSBB. SSBM was a total failure (just like GameCube itself). Lots of stupid bugs and characters doing the same things (Pichu-Pikachu, Cap.Falcon-Ganondorf, Mario-Luigi-Dr.Mario[lol?]).
