Duck Hunt Kill Screen

This is the final moments of my world record run on Duck Hunt for NES, April 2009. Rounds 99 and 100 ("0") are shown.

Something happens when you reach Round 100 on this game that makes the ducks go crazy. Although many of the ducks are impossible to hit (or fail to even appear), I actually managed to kill one!

Sorry for the picture quality, but it's the best I could do with my camcorder. I had to capture not only the game screen, but also the light gun and game console. Doing this caused some serious issues with lighting!

And since I've received TONS of comments about it, let me settle this one last time: I understand that it's a little too easy to play this game with the gun this close to the TV, but that's what Twin Galaxies practically requires you to do when recording. I was requried to show the game console, the gun, and the tv set at all times.

Besides, the point of this video is to show what happens when you reach the kill screen. How I got there is not as big of a deal, I admit. :)

@mixandmox Thanks. I never posted my Bubble Bobble video, only because I didn't save it. I've been meaning to get back to that game. Maybe if I improve my score, I'll post it then? For now, all I can do is assure you that the 6 million is real. The score wouldn't have passed at TG unless it was. :)

@jecklejuggalo Yeah. Anything goes when you're going for a world record in Duck Hunt (except for the light trick), including sitting right up to the TV. :)

@dphillips83 The top-loading NES is still a regulation system. Nintendo released this model shortly before the NES was replaced by the Super Nintendo. It works much better than the original - I hardly ever get those blinking white screens! :)
