Your chamber needs to be moved much closer to the chest. It's a piston. When you retract your leg, don't bend at the knee and pull your heel to your glutes. Drive your knee thru your ankle when you sidekick and please be careful not to lean your lead shoulder over towards the floor. This makes it more of a back kick.
@BakiSonOfOgre Don't try to twist your point of view. Even a beginner could use this kick effectively cuz its not hard to kick someones knee in with this kick when you have shoes on. You know what, you sound like a pretty generic fighter yourself. Go train your shin kick and your second rate boxing kid. Im done trying to argue with an ignorant fool like you. This kick does work people. Like everything else, you gotta train it and obviously your not gonna win a fight with just one kick.
@dss103 Thats Why I Am Saying That Instead Of Wasting Time On This Kick You Better Learn How To Punch And How To Defend Your Face ,Its 10000x More Useful In A Real Fight Than This Kick !!!!
@BakiSonOfOgre Lol ur a pretty ignorant kid to say this kick sucks. The side kick is actually a longer jab than the push kick. Maybe it's because Im talking from a Sanda point of view but the side kick has more knockback than the push kick too. also you can combo quite a few moves that do pack a punch from this kick. usually a thai style round kick or back kick work great with this kick. Slamming a cross into your opponents head as they walk back towards you because of "lack of power" feels gud
And, I am saying, if you are a respectable martial artist, you would know how to do this, and martial arts is not about street fighting, it is about making your mind and body into one spirit that has so much control of it self that it can control your enemy by not even throwing one punch. Then, once you can do that, you move on tournaments and fight, or fight an assailant, but this is totally useless for noobs because this is too advance and they would hurt themselves doing this.
