SwimLanka has been set up as a charitable Trust and is the brainchild of a group of Sri Lankan and expatriate individuals in Sri Lanka, who after the Tsunami disaster in 2004 realised the need for a arge scale islandwide project ultimately aiming to teach all Sri Lankan children how to swim. With help from Terre des hommes Foundation and Swiss Solidarity, we are now able to focus on the children of Batticaloa and Ampara districts, offering confidence with water classes along with psychosocial activities at 15 locations over the next eighteen months.
