I saw something like this in India on discovery network? Maybe you`re the same woman... anyway, I have a similar compost and I want to try out yours as well. Keep up the good work! Check out my video if you want, you can see it there.

Nicely articulated steps for composting at home where there is no backyard. Must see for people in big cities(Mumbai)

Dear friend,
Normally it doesn't emit intolerable or significant smell if it have good aeration / ventilation. I have these pots next to my kitchen door and never had problems.

Dear friend, Earthen pots are porous and no need to make holes for aeration. I am not sure about the temperate region, since it work well in tropical climate. In temperate region you may have to introduce some bacteria. (please do not get discouraged, spoiled milk, fermented food / fruits will be enough to introduce bacteria. If you can get some cow dung, it is wonderful) Keep in touch for any other clarification. Thanks for your interest, patience and persistence.

Dear friend,
TIP: Compost increases the quality of soil which in turn increases productivity. But do you know that composting increases the capacity of soil to absorb Carbon and transfer it to plants. organic farming is 25% more efficient than modern agriculture in absorbing carbon to fight climate change. "Soil is the Solution" is the new slogan.
