There is no big four, because you got to let outside some legendary bands, Hallows Eve, Exodus, Overkill, Sacred Reich, D.R.I., Coroncer, Testament, Dark Angel, Deah Angel,Sadus, Kreator, Sodom, Evil Dead, etc etc.

@pablotepa13 The big 4 refers to the 4 most popular thrash bands, not necessarily the greatest, although they probably were. Most other thrash bands at the time were too generic and played the same cookie cutter, stereotypical style of thrash.
