Good tempo for the fugue.

@Lawrencelovespiano I'm *number* and I got to college and I dont like it when teens mention their age in comments hoping to get thumbs up or that people will think they're mature for their age.
anyways all the best with playing this prelude.. work hard at it! ^^

This combs my mind.

When these pieces are played on a piano with dynamics and tempo changes as in romantic period, they are even more beautiful. Bach is one of my favorite composers, but I really hate that they always favor (and teach) to play his music so monotonically.

Jem copied this for They. But, it works.

@roozbehab Yes, historical instruments generally use the tuning pitch that was used at the time of composition (if this is known, of course), and for Bach it is usual to go around 415Hz.

@danieldalarossa the keith jarrett version is very good too.

I'm 14 and I'm registering for the Junior Program in the Canadian Music Competition 2011. For 14-15 year olds we have to have one Prelude And Fugue by Bach and a random piece for the first round and I'm going to play this Prelude and Fugue. This inspired me, I like this tempo.

Is Harpsichord tuned differently from Piano? Compared to my Piano , this is in E-flat instead of F. Or maybe the original tempo has been a little faster. Anyway this is EXACTLY the tempo I like to hear this work in.
wonderful. best interpretation among all those available on you tube. Not too fast, not too slow. Just perfect,.
