Grande la Cultura Maya!!! Mis ancestros... Saludos desde El Salvador!!!

@420Rokn Alternatively, nothing happens and a bunch of heavily misguided people become atheists. Win-win-win if you ask me!
-
The end of the world as we know it... come ON! Thats a good thing!! That means one of two things. That this shit world we live in, full of hatred and intolerance is going to crack in half and were all gonna die (at this point I say ok w/e, good riddance). If that's the way of the universe SO BE IT. (I doubt this will be the case)
OR
We are confronted with some shocking new truth or reality about our place in the universe and are forced to make a change in our worldview, for the better.

Quetzalcoatl, El Hombre Huracán...
-
@IhaveTHUNDERHAMMER Completely true.
-
@IhaveTHUNDERHAMMER Maybe it didn't exist as "Quetzalcoatl" in the Mayan culture, but it may have existed with another name. Perhaps Kukulkan (who is a Mayan serpent deity) could be the one closest to Quetzalcoatl. I'm no expert in ancient cultures, so don't take what I'm saying as the truth.
-
Am I seriously the only person here to remember that Quetzalcoatl was an AZTEC god? He wasn't Mayan. He wasn't even among the Mayan gods.
-
@NECROLORDZ Exactly....the end of the Mayan calendar DOES NOT mean the Earth will be destroyed...I take it to mean it's the end of the world as we know it now.And like you said,a circle has no end so the world will not...it's just the beginning of a new cycle
