In retrospect season 2 was kinda bad. Kinda like Code Geass: 1st season was great then they fuck up in season 2.

Eh, I don't think it was bad. It certainly wasn't as good as Season 1, but it wasn't bad. It just became the usual standard Gundam show in Season 2, instead of breaking new ground.
Not that I blame the people who worked on the show. Bandai and Sunrise must have been breathing down their necks to maintain the usual Gundam tropes/status quo.
At least it didn't become a total irreparable train wreck like the last quarter of Seed Destiny.
