Used system (updated) for separation of copper or aluminum from plastic insulation.
This machine will chop and separate telephone wire, Romex , aluminum bx, THHN, XHHW, etc.
No water is used in this process.
300-500 lbs/hr depending on wire and screen size.( ex: telephone wire will take longer because you need a smaller screen to separate the finer wires).
-15 hp Baldor chopping motor
- 5 hp Baldor blower motor
-1 hp Baldor Copper separation/fan table motor
-2 hp 110v dust collector (included)
240/480 40 or 60 amp main breaker.
All motor controls, switches etc. are included.
Built on frame with wheels for easy moving.
6- leveling 1/2" legs for leveling support.
4 different size screens to chose from.
We can custom build any wire chopping system to your specs. 300 lbs up to 10000 lbs/hr

  • no, it uses only air as a means of separating the copper from the insulation by "specific gravity technology"

  • If you put aluminum mc into the system, the aluminum and the plastic will come out the back and the copper will come out of the front.

    You can then recycle the aluminum and plastic mix back onto the table with a different setting to separate the aluminum from the plastic.

  • You need to scrap a hell of a lot of wire to pay for that baby.

    There's a bunch of different manufacturers making them.

    That thing is at least 5 grand probably more.

    My guestimate says you'd have to strip between 5 to 10 thousand pounds of copper to pay for that thing, depending what they make per pound.

  • Seperation by cyclonic action. Lighter plastic, heavier copper. Wonder what the chopper/grinder looks like? Great way to re-cycle communications cable for maximum return.

  • does this machine separate by spinning or by floating the plastic in water?

  • where do you buy/how much/

  • was the other side aluminum? what would happen if you put a whole piece of MC
