You know I wonder the same thing. Like from the time he became a Shinigami and throughout the whole Soul Society Arc he was improving and owning every fucking captain and leutientant there was yet as the Arcs continue its like his strength got downgraded to a Bunny Rabbit before he gets a kick ass move and beats them right as he's about to die -.-'

I think ichigo has +10 against shinigami, it explains everything, like how he beats Zaraki, gets owned by some arrancar, that gets owned hard by that very same Zaraki XD
