Well with so many run of the mill items on youtube and I am not getting any younger, thought I had better get some of my very old recordings on here before they are lost forever.Sorry about the poor sound quality, but this,i'm sure is mega rare.Ths really was an excellent band, led by the wonderful Lulu.Sorry I only had the one picture to play around with, lol.

  • I'm pretty sure this is a cover of "Soulful Dress" by Sugar Pie DeSanto. Great version!

  • @losyardbirds

    There you go,spot on!

  • @yardbirdmackay Yes,the dreaded mickie"mouse" most factor.A lesson in turning something brilliant into mediocrity. The Yardbirds credibility suffered under most too.

  • @losyardbirds

iNDEED,JUST NO GUTS AT ALL TO THE STONES VERSION.

  • @losyardbirds

I put it down to MOST of the time!

  • @losyardbirds

Her vocals just cut though the air like a knife,we never ever had a singer in the uk like this before, when she recorded Shout, everyone was talking about her,she rocked like no one else.

  • @yardbirdmackay I normally don't like the song "shout" but her version is the best and the only one I listen to.

  • @yardbirdmackay Also another plus is that Jimmy Page was a secret Luv ver on many of her recording sessions.

  • @yardbirdmackay I like her version of "surprise surprise" a lot better than the mick jagged blubber lipps version.
