Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! Playthrough Part 6

In this part, we begin Cotton-Top Cove. We also find a Banana Bird Cave. These are the levels shown in this part:

Bounty Bay: Here's another Banana Bird Cave. The pattern to free the bird is a little longer, but not by a lot. It's still easy to memorize.


Bazza's Blockade: Finally, the first underwater level in the game. This is also the only stage in the game to have Bazzas, fish that constantly come out of holes in the level. I think this game has the greatest design of the water levels in the entire DKC series. It has a lot of detail.

While progressing through the level, you should see a stream of Bazzas guarding a Bonus Barrel. Swim down quickly to dodge them and enter the barrel.

Find the Coin!: You must avoid Lurchins and Bazzas and reach the end of the area to get a Bonus Coin. If you get hit once, you get kicked out of the bonus.

Later in the level, when you swim upwards, you should see Bazzas swimming to the right. Avoid them and swim to the left to find a Bonus Barrel.

Bash the Baddies!: In this bonus, you will become Enguarde. You must defeat every Koco in the area to get a Bonus Coin.

DK Coin: The Koin is keeping the DK Coin at the end of the stage. When you see the flagpole, walk past it to find the Koin. Pick up the Steel Keg and jump on the Koin so you're standing on his shield. Now throw the Keg to the wall so it bounces back and hits him.


Rocket Barrel Ride: This is the first waterfall level in the game. This level also introduces Booster Barrels, which you can use to blast yourself upwards. As the name implies, the level revolves around them.

When in a Booster Barrel, you should see a Knik-Knak flying near a Buzz, Blast yourself out of the barrel and steer yourself to the left so you land on the Knik-Knak. Bounce off that Knik-Knak, then bounce off of the other ones to reach a Bonus Barrel.

Collect 20 Stars!: You need to simply grab every star while firing yourself out of the Booster Barrels. When you collect them all, the Bonus Coin will be at the top of the area.

After the No Parry Sign, ignore the Booster Barrel, and go to the platform downwards. You will see a Bonus Barrel. Enter it to go to a bonus stage.

Collect 60 Stars!: Like the first star challenge, just shoot yourself out of the Booster Barrels and collect the stars as quickly as you can. Once you get all 60, you will win a Bonus Coin.

DK Coin: This one is kind of tricky to obtain. Near the end of the stage, you will see a Steel Keg. You need to throw it upwards so it moves slowly, then quickly jump into the barrel to get shot to the left of the stage. The Koin will turn around and get hit in the back by the Steel Keg.
