@49arberable I know, right!? Dude I'm a HUGE fan of Kadare as well. I'm from Sweden but I've discoverd him in a bookshop in Stockholm a few years ago. I don't now the exact titels but novels like "Cruel April", "The general of the dead army", "The palace of dreams" and "The monster" are just great!
Those who question Pamuk's loyalty to his country should try to read and understand his work and then comment. He is one of the very few gifted writers who writes passionately about humanity. It is immaterial if he criticizes any religion or civilization in that process, because what exists commonly among us irrespective of our different religious backgrounds is humanity which binds us all together and I think that is the most important thing in life.
