Waiting for support for native Win7 multitouch in official Wacom Bamboo drivers i developed my own solution. I use MultiTouch Vista driver (multitouchvista.codeplex.com/) with my application - Bamboo-TUIO (code.google.com/p/bamboo-tuio/).

  • This wont work? I just got a new bamboo Touch because i looked in to your project and i need it for developing for windows phone in multitouch and it doesn't work?

  • @RedStar1994 This project is a bit outdated, it won't work with latest wacom drivers. You should use 5.2.1.6 drivers. I don't know, how WP7 simulator works, but if it utilizes Windows Touch, bamboo-tuio + MultiTouch Vista combo should work.

I'm working on new version, it will be rewritten from scratch, driver-independent and will have more options, stay tuned!

  • @zwisio Sounds good, I will hang on to it, I tryed the older 5.2.1.6 driver and it said wtouch user.exe failed, I have windows 7 x64 and it the WP7 emulator does use Native windows touch, and i tried to get multitouch vista and that worked but i couldnt get it too work right.

  • @RedStar1994 make sure, you have WTouchUser.exe running, disable UAC or run bamboo-tuio in admin mode. If it won't help... you should wait for new version :)

  • @zwisio Wacom has changed the names to Pen_touch... so there is no open in working with the new updates and in the older update the file is there but doesnt work with bamboo-tuio

  • @RedStar1994 try to stop Pen_touchuser process, copy rename Pen_touchuser.exe from C:\Program Files\... to WTouchUser.exe and start it manually

  • Hey zwisio! Are you still working on your new version of Bamboo TUIO? It would be great because now you can even use 4 Finger Multitouch with the Bamboo fun Pen and Touch. I'm really looking forward to that release because right now not even with the old driver 5.2.1.6 it works on my PC.

    Thanks!

  • @FreeFog yes, and i would also love to see someone have a step by step guide to get this to work.

  • I would really appreciate if someone can tell me the following 2 things: - A simple list for a W7 user to enable absolute multy touch positioning like this: download bamboo-tuio LINK download W7 multy touch drivers LINK download Wacom Driver Version XXXX (Did I miss something?) Install in the previous order enable W7 Stuff run TUIO Done - on the video you lauch several aprograms, could you list them in order and the reason why they are needed? THANKS ALOT
  • @zwisio I tryed that it did not work

  • @zwisio I tried that and it is till a no go, but I will wait for a new build its no big deal
