DIY Kayak Bimini Top Part 2

A DIY bimini top for my Perception Sport Caster 12.5 kayak. It's made from two 10' sections of CPVC, fabric, and rope.

how do you like the angler? I am thinking of getting one, I have never been on a kayak before though, but im looking to get something good for fishing..any recommendations? thanks man

@MrFriedolays I'm no expert, but I think the sit-on-top kayaks are better for fishing. You also want one that is wider vs. the long streamlined versions. There is a trade-off though when you go with a wide kayak. It is much more stable so you don't feel like you could tip as you shift your weight around casting and pulling in fish. But when it comes to paddling, it is more difficult to keep a straight path in the water, and you'll have to paddle harder to keep up with a narrow kayak.

@degreethis Yes, you're right. After lowering it, it did block my vision quite a bit more, but didn't block much more sun on my legs. So leaving it higher is better. It still blocks sun on my upper body and head. I think I'll have to make a version that stays wide all the way up to get better leg protection.
